Urgent Update: SNAP & Cash Benefits Delayed in Guam
Delay in SNAP and Cash Benefits: What Gamers Need to Know
Hey Gamers and Tech Enthusiasts! If you’ve recently been queuing up for some in-game loot or waiting on your next raid, here’s something that might throw a wrench in your plans: Guam’s SNAP and Cash Assistance programs are facing a hiccup. As of August 4, 2025, the Department of Public Health and Social Services reported that technical issues prevented benefits from loading onto EBT cards. This isn’t just a minor glitch; it could impact your gaming budget and day-to-day expenses.
The tech teams are on it, working hard to resolve the connectivity problems. The Office of Technology wants to assure everyone that they’re moving quickly to fix things up. It’s a rough situation for anyone relying on these funds, especially when you might need to grab snacks or gear up for your next big gaming session.
If you’re impacted, don’t panic just yet! Clients are encouraged to check their EBT card balances after 7:15 PM on August 5. You can do this by calling the Customer Support number on the back of your card, or by logging into the mobile app or website at www.ebtedge.com. It’s good practice to stay on top of your balance, especially if you’re working with tight resources.
Need more assistance? The Bureau of Economic Security has got your back. You can reach them at (671) 300-8853 or (671) 300-8872—or shoot them an email at CentralBES@dphss.guam.gov. They’re there to help sort things out and get you back in the game.
So while we wait for these benefits to hit our cards, let’s keep our spirits up. Whether you’re planning your loadout for the next Battle Royale or just figuring out what to grab at the corner store, keep an eye on those updates. We’ll be here to keep you in the loop!
