“ElevateHER Pitch Program Returns to Empower Women Entrepreneurs”
ElevateHER Pitch Program Makes a Stunning Comeback for Women Entrepreneurs
If you’re a female entrepreneur in Guam, the ElevateHER Pitch Program is back, and it’s packing some serious opportunities. Launched last year by Bank of Guam, the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GWCC), and KUAM Communications, this program is here to help women take their business ideas from concept to cash. And guess what? You could snag a grand prize of $5,000 just for pitching your brilliant idea.
So, what’s the deal? ElevateHER isn’t just a competition; it’s a community-driven initiative designed to uplift women at every stage of their business journey. Participants will get a chance to pitch their ideas and growth plans, but it doesn’t stop there. The finalists will receive personalized training and workshops leading up to a live pitch presentation at the GWCC’s signature women’s leadership summit, Fanachu Famalåo’an 2025, happening on September 26 at Hyatt Regency Guam.
What’s in it for the winner? Beyond the $5K seed money from Bank of Guam, the prize package includes a whopping $5,000 in advertising credits from KUAM Communications and a full year of membership with the GWCC. There’s also a People’s Choice Award, where attendees get to vote for their favorite pitch, adding another $2,000 to the prize pot. Talk about leveling up!
Karmen George, last year’s grand prize winner, is living proof of what ElevateHER can do. With her brand, Nemin Boutique, she transformed traditional Chuukese muumuus into modern fashion statements, showing off Micronesian heritage while empowering local women. After winning, Karmen elevated her brand visibility and even became a certified GUMA Vendor. Now, she’s featured in commercials and has expanded her customer base like a true boss.
If you’re ready to dive into this amazing opportunity, mark your calendars. Applications opened on July 28 and close on August 8, so don’t sleep on this chance. To qualify, you need to be a woman entrepreneur in Guam running a majority women-owned business. Grab your pitch deck and head over to bankofguam.com to apply, or shoot them an email at projectgive@bankofguam.com for more info.
ElevateHER is not just about the money; it’s about building a supportive network where women can thrive and grow together. Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, this program is your chance to step into the spotlight. Get ready to pitch, learn, and maybe just change your game!
