Cancer can feel like a relentless boss battle, but there’s a new ally in the game: Circle of Care on Guam. This initiative, powered by the Pay-Less Community Foundation and funded by the Guam Cancer Trust Fund, is here to provide free support, counseling, and wellness services tailored for cancer patients, survivors, and their families. Think of it as a health power-up, available right within our community.

Every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., you can join an online support group through Zoom, led by licensed psychologists and educators. It’s a place where players can share their stories, gain insights from guest speakers, and feel a sense of connection. This isn’t just another meeting; it’s about sharing the journey in a safe space with folks who really understand what you’re going through.

For those who prefer face time, Circle of Care has your back too. Head over to the Pay-Less Corporate Office in Hagåtña every first and third Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Here, you’ll find support groups, restorative yoga, oncology nutrition, and creative outlets like art therapy. It’s all about finding healing and strength, channeling your inner warrior with the right resources.

Mark your calendars for some special events too! A water aerobics class at the Hilton on August 9th and a gynecological cancer support group on August 28th are worth checking out. And every Wednesday morning, you can practice Tai Chi & Qi Gong in East Hagåtña. Think of it as leveling up your wellness skills—each session is a chance to recharge and face your challenges with renewed energy.

Need some personalized help? Individual and family counseling services, along with patient navigation support, are available to guide you through this battle. If you want to dive in and register, just hit up Marie Benito at 671-687-5723 or shoot her an email at mariebenit@yahoo.com. For more info, Dr. Iain Twaddle is also available at circleofcareguam@gmail.com. In the world of gaming, teamwork makes the dream work, and so does community support. Let’s rally together and keep fighting strong against cancer!
